Your privacy is very important to us. Our website is currently used as a medium to share information about our exciting business with existing and potential customers, suppliers, job applicants and other interested parties. We have no mechanism for collecting data from individuals via the website and instead we encourage contact directly via phone or email in the first instance.

Our Cookie Policy sets out how cookies on our website work in the background as is common practice with most contemporary websites.

This policy statement sets out our general approach to protecting your privacy and sets out how to find out more if required.

Collection of Personal Data:
We do not collect personal data via our website.
Initial information provided to us in connection with any customer and supplier enquiries will be collected from individuals (data subjects) to establish contact and will be processed in the legitimate interests of the business.

If you enquire about a job opportunity with us, our Privacy Notice for Job Applicants can be found in the Careers section of our website. This sets out the types of information we will collect, how we will process the information and the steps that we take to maintain security and protect your privacy.

All data will be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way. We are committed to upholding the principles set out within the GDPR.

Legal Basis:
Initial contact details such name, contact telephone number and email address will be collected in the normal course of a client/supplier relationship and is in the legitimate interests of the business so long as this is not overridden by your own rights and interests.

Where further details become necessary to produce a quote or to raise a purchase order for example, this will be considered as preparation for the performance of a contract and such as, any data will only be used for the purpose for which it was given.

Third Parties:
We may sometimes need to pass your details to a third-party such as regulatory authorities, our bank, partners and advisors for example to our accountants for the purpose of processing invoices for payment. In these circumstances, the data will be limited to only that which is necessary to fulfil a specific task and will always be on a confidential basis.

Because of the nature of our business, we may need to share limited personal data with third parties such as architects or suppliers where it is necessary for us to carry out your instructions. We make checks to ensure that our suppliers take Data Protection very seriously and have a provision within their service agreements to demonstrate their commitment to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the principles of the GDPR.

Out of respect to you, we will never share your information with other companies for marketing purposes.

We may use your data to keep you updated on our products, industry developments that may be of interest to you and/or new services that we develop in the future.

Storage of your information:
Information will be held at our offices in Peterborough, within electronic filing systems and sometimes in hard copy with our sales representatives for example. All employees are trained on the principles of the GDPR and on how to respect your information and keep it secure.

We limit the access of your personal data to only those who have a legitimate business need to access it. We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data protection breach.

Should it be necessary for us to transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area, whilst these countries do not have the same data protection laws, we will ensure that our own GDPR compliant procedures are maintained.

We’ll only keep information for as long as is necessary:
Where a transactional relationship is established, we’ll need to keep certain information for a minimum of 6 years as required by law plus the current year. Personal data that doesn’t necessarily have to be retained will be deleted in line with our GDPR procedures. Further details can be made available upon request.
